The nursing team run a treatment room service. Among the clinics we run are diabetes, COPD, Stroke, asthma and coronary heart disease. Minor surgery may be available. Our attached health visitors offer health advice and support mainly to families with young children. This includes help with parenting and behaviour management and also support to women with postnatal depression. The health visitors can be contacted at Milngavie Clinic on 0141 232 4815.

District Nurse Advanced Nurse Practioner

To support the District Nurse team the HSCP now has an advanced nurse practitioner who the District Nurses can call on for further assessment and prescribing.
Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner
Simon Johnston BSc hons and PGD in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy
The role of the Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner(APP) is assist the GPs in assessing and diagnosing musculoskeletal issues and therefore free up GP appointments for non musculoskeletal issues. The APP is able to order investigations (e.g. Xrays) and refer to orthoaedics. They can where appropriate arrange analgesia in discussion with the GP. They may advise some initial exercises but like the GP will advise to see the physiotherapy team at Milngavie clinic where appropriate for follow up of this.
